Sooo, if anyone knows someone who may want to go camping, but doesn't live in a ..

Camping-friendly state, I'd just like to point out that Colorado is very camping-friendly. I'd be happy to help out any potential campers and keep the visit confidential because sometimes you might not want anyone to know about your trip.

Just sayin.

I think New Mexico is also a very camping friendly state. So contact me if you need to come here to camp.

and want to pitch a tent in the woods with no hook-ups, you can camp in almost any National Forest for free and anywhere that does not have a "no camping" sign. I've been doing that in Michigan for years. This means millions of acres open to you.

You do not need a permit to camp on the National Forests or in designated campgrounds
If your campfire will be on National Forest System lands you will not need a wood permit to cut firewood.
Dispersed and Primitive tent camping within the Forests is allowed almost anywhere, unless otherwise posted closed and/or "No Camping".
No RV hook-ups are available for water, sewage or electric at any campground.

If someone needed to take a trip to New York for some medically advised camping, my daughter and I would be happy to assist you with all your camping needs. Free of charge, of course. We love helping campers. 😊
