it is kinda reminding me of a thread in lounge about the book of the tattoo girl. a poster asks, what about some org against violence of women backing this movie. i went in and read the org. 15 fuckin minute explicit rape scene that has people atwitter across the nation in anticipation watching. this is really bothering me.

the site says how people should watch, and how hard it will be and MAY fuckin trigger a response for some women

fuckin think?

it is feeling like the misguided rave over passion. giving exactly the opposite effects people are thinking. the subtle and not so subtly misogyny in the movie being tooted as pro feminist.

i see no links so i am not sure what your post is about.

saw commercials, and colbert last night pumpin for this movie. i dont need images of a 15 minute rape for peoples entertainment in my head. all they are doing is having these explicit and long and gruesome rapes scenes normalize and mainstream in our movies. i will expect movie after movie to now put them in their movies.
