Moreover, as a gay man, I have had my fair share of experiences with men (both gay and straight, actually) who are powerful in the workplace but want to be submissive in bed, at least some of the time. I think this, as it would with women, is more of a search for balance than it is reverting to some primordial predisposition.

(32,886 posts)What we really learned from this article is what Katie Roiphe secretly dreams about. Nothing more. And there is nothing wrong with being dominant or submissive or whatever else. The error Katie makes is projecting this secret desire on all other women.
I first read the headline as, " Tu-tu ing over sex is a form of bondage"
