I hope Lioness Priyanka doesn't mind my making a "Part ii" of her excellent OP. Some celebrities have made a point of being photographed without makeup, to show people, especially girls, how so much of it is an illusion.
I don't know why Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi of "Jersey Shore" fame and infamy tweeted photos of her "bare," but she is so cute without the war paint she feels she needs to attract men.

(49,212 posts)I can manage some really minimal application of powder, mascara and lipstick if it's absolutely necessary because of social expectations or some unusual level of skin drama, but I can't really do the full thing without looking like I work at the circus.

(24,096 posts)It was fun to paint up like a clown and I enjoyed it for myself. I think. heh.
But what a gross waste of time and money, looking back now.
But my daughter doesn't much at all, (just once in a while because of mom's clown genes I guess and all that other stuff mom's have no control over) and she is complimented by men in her family when she doesn't. I think that's a good thing for men to say.
