With lasting health problems, the SS disability system may need changing. As it is now, with SS Disability you are either totally disabled, or not. The VA system has different percentages for an array of ailments. The different disability percentages result in different payments.

There may be a time where a worker may qualify for a payment to help offset a particular illness, such as a lingering problem from Covid. The whole system is ripe for real change.
