This is new, and different. I fill my couple of prescriptions at COSTCO

One of them blood pressure medication Losartan.

I have about 10 left, so I called COSTCO pharmacy for a refill and... the pharmacist called: they are out, have no idea when a new shipment would arrive.

Just two miles from home there is a CVS Pharmacy, so decided to call them, dreading the possibility of others looking for a similar refill.

Yes, CVS pharmacist told me, we do have it, no problem. And, since I got my booster there three months ago, I was in their system.

Will call COSTCO and transfer it and will text you when you have it she said.

A sigh of relief.

But, really, I do hope that after shortage of milk cartons, really, a shortage of common medications will not be next.

It is a pain to be without the proper meds. I am always sure to stay as far ahead as possible.

I was thinking that, since the prescriber is associated with a local hospital that the next step would be the hospital pharmacy.

Staff at Prescriber says Ozempic is similar and perhaps could be substituted.

I don't really like them, but it works for most drugs.

Other than that, I always use one of two Independent local drug stores. One is a compounding pharmacy and if they don't have it, they'll make it up. I get some drugs from them that I can't get at the big stores because they won't carry anything that is too cheap for them to make any money on. The Independents do it as a service to the customer.
