Some came up. I'm reading about porcelin gallbladder, cancer, liver calcifications, etc. I need to stop and see what the imaging says. I just got on Medicare

I had a serious disease a couple of years ago and had to learn not to overanalyze test results, symptoms, side effects, etc., and trust in the process and my medical team, because they're ultimately the experts. I know that sounds cliche', but it was really important for me from a mental health perspective. It's all too easy to focus on the worst-case scenarios.

Hang in there and let them do the full work-up. Best to know and know early what you are dealing with.

I'll be thinking of you. You have many here who are sending you the best of wishes and ready to give you support.

They tend to put in mind worst-case scenarios. I had upper left quadrant pain 2 years ago, that I was convinced was pancreatic cancer and after scans it turned out to be nothing. Wishing you the best of luck!

I told him I was told I had gallstones in the 80s. He seemed to think Id be "doubled over, screaming in pain". He also used the word "biopsy" and liver. But he said we'll start with imaging

Wait for the doctors. Google's "medical diagnostics" can be very stressful. Hugs.

Gall stones and kidney stones can certainly both result in referred back pain.

Both are treatable.

Don't trouble trouble until trouble troubles you.

Next step is ultrasound. Dr said may need MRI or PET? (I think he said). He said the next step is an ultrasound. I need to calm down. Its just thatI saw my mother die at 60 (Im 58) over a year of cancer.

It's hard, I know, but i'd wait until you have a diagnosis before searching the internet. I had a lump in my neck that wouldn't go away. My doc scheduled an MRI. The lump turned out to be a red herring. They found a brain aneurysm. It's fixed and all is well. The moral of the story is, as difficult as it is, wait until you know what you're actually dealing with.
Take care and God bless.
