Any home remedies recommended for a mild uti?

Don't know how I got it...but got a positive on leukocytes strip test (no nitrates) plus mildly cloudy urine lead me to think I may have one.
I hate to start with the antibiotics if I can avoid them. Baking soda in a glass of water used to be a thing. Anyone had any success knocking one out at home? thanks

Unsweetened cranberry juice concentrate, mix with water and sweeten with honey. But antibiotics are usually necessary. And drink lots of water.

The yogurt has natural probiotics. I read an article the other day that they now believe blueberries may have the same benefit as cranberries.

* They have bagged fresh cranberries at the grocery store. You see them in the produce section around Thanks & Xmas. Are they only a seasonal item packed fresh berries or are they available year round. Ask your produce manager when you go shopping.

Canned whole and jellied cranberries are around all year,.. stock up. Great with chicken and turkey. Make an ice cream Sunday with mashed whole cranberries and whipped cream.

We're going to stuff you up with cranberries until they come out of your ears.

This info might help you figure this UTI situation out.

If you're looking for ways to help with UTIs, you can try drinking sugar-free cranberry juice and staying hydrated with water. These can help flush harmful bacteria from the urinary tract and relieve urine pain. You can also try adding unsweetened cranberry juice, D-mannose, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), and probiotics to your diet.

If you need to get rid of a UTI quickly, the only way is through antibiotic treatment prescribed by a licensed healthcare provider. Antibiotics kill the bacteria causing the infection and can help your symptoms go away in 1 to 2 days

Hope your UTI goes away quick.
Good luck.

Why cranberries work,...

Cranberry juice or supplements are commonly advised for avoiding UTIs because they have anti-microbial characteristics. This fruit does not allow bacteria to stick to the walls of the urinary system due to the presence of certain chemicals found in cranberries.

Drink the doctor recommended maximum amount of water every day. I believe it’s about 90 oz. if you don’t have kidney issues.
It can work wonders.

Usually found with the “female supplies”. Doesn’t cure a UTI but it relieves symptoms. Makes your pee bright orange.
