That 'Tadpole Water' Drink on TikTok Might Actually Have Health Benefits

How far would you go to lose weight? Maybe cut down on sugar? Take up the Couch to 5K challenge?

Well, some TikTokkers are so eager to drop the pounds that they've taken the extreme sounding measure of drinking 'tadpole water'.

Don't worry, it's not quite as bad as it seems. The trend doesn't actually involve downing a glass of frog larvae. Rather, some social media users are chugging a viscous mixture of water, lemon juice and chia seeds. The appearance and consistency of the concoction is similar to a glass of frogspawn.

Tadpole water fans say it helps them to feel fuller and lose weight but others find the slimy texture makes them g.

My comment before I read the article was "well, it'll keep people regular." That's the main benefit and it will help with so,e wight loss while keeping the GI tract healthier. That's no small thing.

He said it was like eating fleas.

Since the water/lemon juice mixture makes a gel, I wonder if it can be sieved and used as an egg white substitute in vegan desserts.

Just a thought.
