Avian Flu: 784,943 Birds Killed and Disposed of in South Korea in 2024

The latest outbreak occurred on 22 Dec 2024 in Jeollabuk-do where 74,500 birds were killed and disposed of.

According to the CDC, all 50 states have recorded 1,374 outbreaks. 129,795,101 birds (wild aquatic birds, commercial poultry and backyard or hobbyist flocks) in the US have been affected by the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) A(H5) viruses since January 2022.


Birds are endangered by both pesticides and the avian flu.

Like COVID, the avian flu knows no borders. North Korea, with all its food insecurity problems, will get hit hard by avian flu. And this will be Donald Trump’s first health emergency when his cabal of sycophants and quacks assumes power in a few weeks.
