I was left in awe of what Nyad conquered: within herself and the external forces of nature and time. She showed that with the might within ourselves we can be and do so much more--a true superperson.
I left the couch suddenly doing stretches and knee-bends.

With each attempt, "Okay, this is the one where she makes it!" Only to see her give up. The one that ended in the wild storm was...well...wild! What perseverance and determination!

I remembered, though, the media coverage she got after she did finally make it. The movie did engage, and it was easy to forget the actual history. The performances were completely convincing.

I usually cover more indie flicks, but occasionally I encounter a movie so good, I just have to review it. This is one of those.

The acting was stellar, and the story was riveting. A great film depicting strong women is hard to find.
Highly recommend watching it!
