If you haven't seen A French Village
On Hulu, do. As entirely absorbing as Spiral, but a drama, set during the occupation. Everything top rate, acting, script, production. I hesitated because I didnt want to get abjectly horrified and depressed, but the emotional pull is worth it and got me to research a bit on the French Resistance. Its like a novel you just start living through.

(41,353 posts)MHz is absolutely the best. I cant begin to say how much I love it. They have great programming from all over Europe.
I just finished watching Captain Marleau. It takes place in the south of France. The main character is a quirky detective who is kind of a French female version of Columbo. Really enjoyable.

(8,147 posts)The character! Setting, and unfolding story. And nice the audio is French language. I can practice my weak listening skills. Thanks very for this excellent rec.
