(5,187 posts)It wasn't great, but I was entertained and laughed quite a bit. I think Kumail Nanjiani is my new Kevin James. I can watch any horrible thing Kevin James has made and I laugh a lot. It is very much like that with Nanjiani. Big Sick was awesome. Stuber was entertaining.

(46,166 posts)By last night I needed something stupid, silly and just for fun. So we watched The Lovebirds.
At one point my husband must have been ready to quit. He asked if I thought it was as stupid as he did. And then he burst out laughing because something funny happened onscreen. So we watched it the whole way through.
These two are great together. And the writers did a terrific job of making something entertaining that had hardly any plot.
And her pink pants! You know what I'm talking about. They kept cracking me up. But she didn't have much choice. Every time I looked at them I had to lol.
Mindless fun for an hour or so. Why not.

Saw your review of "The Wrong Missy" and watched it the next day.
And laughed.
Watched "Mr Right" last night, which we decided that despite the rom-com/action elements was in essence a screwball comedy.
And laughed.
This is our attempted inoculation against being overwhelmed currently.
Now to find something to laugh at today. I mean, besides Pat Robertson dunking on his highness.
