It's been a long road, but I keep on doing it one day at a time.
It's also my daughters 22nd birthday today, and I thank my higher power every day that she, her brother, and my wife have never seen me drinking or using drugs. I have been through a lot of rough times, but staying clean and sober for my family has helped me make it to where I am today after 28 years.
I also give credit to AA, and all the people I met there. Hearing others speak and realizing I was not alone went a long way in my journey.

Yep a lot of days, one at a time. It still amazes me sometimes that I have made it this long.

Yes, life is a lot better than it used to be. You can't change in a day, but like you said it all adds up over time and I am much better off now than I was before I made the choice to stop using.
