(76 posts)Thanks for all the great replies. Yes, am old. I stated drinking when was 13 years old and in the 7th grade, I drink for 14 years and by the time I was 27 I was a real mess. I had all the troubles that everyone else has had when drinking heavily, money, jobs, driving, bar room fights, and in the back of the saloon in the gravel parking lot under a dim street light slugging it out, few nights in jail, and of course woman troubles.
Thanks to AA and a lot of friends and my Dad, who was always there when I need him, he was even there when I didnt want him, standing in the shadows of the book case making sure I got a square deal, him hes self a member of AA, but he never pushed me
just waited till I make up my mind and was there when I did. So thanks for all the nice remakes, the last 50 years of sobriety has been good to me. Keep going to those meeting.
