Addiction & Recovery
Related: About this forumAnother rough weekend. And this lockdown sure isn't helping
Had cravings on Friday and Saturday night. I took the easy way out and went to bed early both nights. The upside is, I sure feel refreshed! How's everyone else doing?

(10,827 posts)even though the previous days they had cleared out and coughing had all but gone away. Yesterday, boom. Felt like lungs full of smoke.
But, I feel good this morning. Decades of smoking. Please let this be it. Please!!!
Getting off the wine is just a plus.
Now, have to start paying attention to do the foods and get to moving that body cause handing off one comfort for another.
I hope today is easier for you.
Edit: The isolation is really helping me with the smoking. Not the wine.

(38,726 posts)I have dealt with various addictions & have attended many, many meetings. I have read a whole lot, and been around the program for more than 39 years...and have read about these problems for even more years..
This will seem very trite and kind of stupid...but my experience tells me this:..................................
.......................If it were easy, then it would be easy. It is not easy........................
I deal with one addiction, say food, then I go to another, and another...We must never give up. & if going to bed early works, then it is a great idea. Getting up refreshed is proof that you got it right....Thank You again for sharing your experience..
Oh...one more idea... Never give up..do the very best you can, and that is enough
