(13,829 posts)He's my responsible adult for me medical test tomorrow. I do every thing medical for him..hes 72... how can this go on? He smokes like a chimney n snorts his strong meds.
He has barrett esophagus. My dr and i decided no more attempted interventions showing concern. I didn't realize until yesterday that besides being a junkie, he's now an alcoholic. He's talking to me like yesterday didn't happen and its pissing me off.
I grew up with a falling down vodka addicted mother. This triggers me. I might be able to shrug it off if not for that. He days he needs wine pills etc for pain and insomnia. He's attempting to get xanax out of his shrin, but hasnt been sucessful so far.

(13,829 posts)Its like it nvr ends n I'm trapped. I get threatened with money cut off daily and being taken off his pension. Basically he's destroyed the last 28 yrs of my life
I'm on ssdi and am supposed to not have stress. I was reassured by him to go out and he'd handle the bills. I had no idea all this would happen. He was able to save up like 65k bc i was working spring him. He gave me 7k for tmj tx
That gets thrown in my face daily but he won't accept payback. He refuses. I've offeted a check n ride to the bank. He's using money to control me
