The weekend after Chemo is the worst. I finished the pills and now I only have the liquid.

I've barfed twice since last night.

My peg port is leaking, so I will have to address that tomorrow.

You said it wouldn't be easy, and you were right.

It appears the thick spittle adds to the nausea by collecting at the back of my tongue.

The worst thing I can complain about, after my first chemo, is my digestive system. Not going into the bloody details (see what I did there?), but nothing goes down easy.

I got a drug for my digestive ills called Protonix..it reduces the amount of acid your stomach produces. What a difference! After two pills, I scarfed down a turkey sandwich and no repercussions. I am looking forward to a homemade egg Mcmuffin for din-din...and maybe a sip of REAL coffee tomorrow...

I sat here and watched my wife demolish a Hawaiian pizza. The smell was heavenly.

Two things are on my agenda, a gyro and fried chicken. I won't see my recovery complete until I can eat those wondrous dishes.

Been busy moving and got internet back today.

I am so sorry you're having to go through this!

Yes! The build-up in the throat makes it all the more worse. That's what did me in in the end. That's why I spent a month in the hospital, unable to hold anything down.

I'm glad you have the peg already, even with its leaks. Be sure to get that seen about. Leaking at this stage isn't right. Some gunk around the opening isn't abnormal but only a little.

I am sorry for not being around.

Been thinking of you! You know I adore you!

I have consulted with the doctors, and my only problems is dehydration, and "eating too fast." I have a water drip to which I've added some electrolytes. I feel better already.

I lost weight, but it has stabilized. My beard has found a new home in everything but my face.

I haven't been online that much.

Hope you are in the peach.

let you know I'm keeping up with you and admire your attitude about staying on top of the suffering. I think of you often and hope for improvement. You have good folks here and at home and for that I'm grateful. Sending you love, hope and strength in the only way I can.

fuck character building. How about cancer can just kiss my butt and disappear, dry up, fade away,
get lost and I can have my life back?

Holding good thoughts for you, alfredo.

I have my bad days, but they pass. I also know I will feel like refried shit for many weeks to come. That's OK, because that will pass.

I appreciated the support from my friends at DU.
