Looks like radiation side effects caught up with me this week. :(

I'm finishing up my 3rd week of 5 and am experiencing some "almost nausea", general stomach/bowel discomfort, a 'pinchy' pain on my left side, and some bleeding. My dr. said radiation tends to "bring hemmorhoids to the surface." so she thinks that's what's causing the bleeding. Trying to eat light, taking compazine for nausea only if really needed, but in turn, feeling kind of miserable. Radiation onco said they could give me something stronger for my stomach, but then that stops your digestive system up and since I'm just 4 mo out from my resection, they really would rather not have me on anything stronger. Hoping I rebound some over the weekend before going into week 4. What I'd love to do is sleep through the next 2 wks

Coming down to the end of treatment with 11 more sessions of external pelvic rads and 3 sessions of internal brachytherapy radiation. Then it's on to monitoring appts every 3 months. Not happy that I'm going to have to go into the real hospital for the last 3 sessions rather than the cancer center. Been trying to stay out of that COVID hotspot. Even at the cancer center, I wear a better mask than the staff (3M Aura n95) and it's properly positioned.

Anyway, just an update. Hair's coming back!!! WooHoo!!!
