You share my husband's first name, btw. It's been a haul and I've been a nervous wreck. But he looked pretty good this morning though desperate to get out of the hospital. His biggest complaint is being exhausted from the constant interruptions during the night and an uncomfortable bed.

So, if those are his major complaints, I think we're in a pretty good place.

This has been an interesting year between the baby girl's medical journey and now my husband.

But thus far, we've been extraordinarily lucky.

My husband absolutely dreaded this surgery but he appears to be in pretty good spirits. And that's important.

Now, it's all about healing and recovery. I think I can handle that part.

It'll be good to get him home. I'm leaving in about an hour for pickup. Yay!

We had a hiccup in that he had a slight temp this morning. But because it was just under 100 degrees, they sprung him. Had to run out and buy a decent thermometer just in case it goes any higher. He's home, sore and worn out. But at least he's home.

Let the healing begin!

Yup. It's been an interesting year, a little too interesting.

I hope he has a smooth recovery.

We're on the other side of the mountain now. Could be bumps along the way but we're headed in the right direction. Appreciate the note.
