well, this is a group i never wanted to frequent. but

it looks like i have a stage 2 melanoma.
thx to the plague, i had to start over w my 3 main docs who retired. 1 was the dermo who treated a squamous cell several yrs ago. he was hard to get into anyway. finally got in to a new 1.
i was concerned about what i likely another squamous cell, cuz it’s on my lower eye lid, very close to my eye.
but i had an ‘ugly duckling’ that wasnt there in june, when i saw my pcp. had another 1 pop up just in the last mo. they biopsied both and waiting for results. but the part where there’s a couple black dots left after the biopsy is, yeah, not good.

i’ve resisted consulting dr google til just now. alarmed, but hopeful. caught pretty early.
assuming lymph node biopsies come next. le sigh.

ya know the worst part? i JUST got into a new relationship w a younger man. we’ve been friends for several yrs, and got together for a minute in 2022. reconnected on fb on nye, saw each other tuesday, and been dying to see each other again since. now i get to start it off w- i’m so glad u got over the age thing, now this. if this scares him off, imma, i dunno, beat him to death, mebbe. he broke my heart back then, and i didnt take it well.

i was expecting my entree here wd b the family curse of breast cancer. far as i know, no one else has faced this curse, which is rly weird. not even the sister w the back yard pool.

i’ll update when i get results.
but shit. it was looking like a great year.
