Whew! 6-mo mammogram after breast cancer surgery comes back GOOD.

I'm a happy camper today, folks. It's one more step out of the woods I got lost in this past February. Stage 1C tumor, had surgery and 16 days radiation. So far, so good. MRI is up next, this coming Feb.

I celebrated by replacing my completely broken food processor (bought 20 yrs ago at a yard sale for $5) with a new one. I wasn't going to need one if I was going to croak soon, but it looks like I will be shredding cabbage for a few more years.

back, even though it was not an aggressive tumor, was small when they found it, and the surgery went very smoothly. I hope to reach your friend's milestone of 5 years, too. Congrats to her!

I had uterine cancer and got my 6 month good diagnosis last month just before hurricane Sandy. Kept my priorities right. But mine was caught amazingly early and the doctors say I should not have any worries, there are always people who have it worse, like my friend being in stage 2.

Congrats on the new food processor. I think all of us survivors know what you mean about waiting to get results before buying or signing a contract.

I am really happy for you.

It is such a great feeling after months of treatment and stress. I am very happy for you.

you know how that goes....the probabilities can go against you any time, and I was pretty sensitive to that. I still am, but the longer the mammos are clean, the better I feel. A to you, too.

...hug. It is very true that time helps with perspective, even though it never totally leaves you. For me, it is a choice. I choose to enjoy each day...and push away that worry when it gets in the way. I don't want to fill my time with that.

So far, so good. back at you!
