(2,282 posts)...which are notorious for planned obsolescence breakdown. The old one was basically just a glorified fan machine.

(797 posts)Bought a top of the line Resmed with reader card and humidifier both of which i never use., at $2500 i think i got a bit ripped off for a machine that just blows air.but as the insurance was paying i didnt protest. No problems yet but if i did need a new one i'd be looking online for my next one or even on Craigslist if insurance wasnt covering the cost....

(168 posts)I had my first machine for 20 years. I got a new one 2 years ago. My doctor said the oldest one she had seen was 21 years. Mine was still working when I got my new one but I decided I wanted a smaller one.
