In week two of my COPD rehab classes now..

Small group (seven), with various stages of COPD and other lung
diseases. Three are already on oxygen. Suggestion: if you are a smoker
look this disease up. Lots of good info on line....might help motivate
you to quit. (Sorry, just had to put that in.).....z

that most smokers will "only" get COPD. I watched my mother dying of COPD, struggling for every breath she took for over 20 years.

I have never been as glad to be allergic to it as I was when I was caring for her. While robbing me of a social life, it also meant I never adopted the habit.

the info you sent in answer to my original post. I don't think
people are aware of the prevalence of this disease. It doesn't get
much media attention like cancer, diabetes, etc. Yet it is one of the
top causes of death. Maybe we should do a bit of education..
Hope all is well with you in NM. We lived there for several years
and really liked it.......z
