(119,641 posts)(she lived in Incline Village), so I have been familiar with this for many years. I always remember the story arc in "The Golden Girls", and Dorothy's struggle to find a doctor who would take her seriously.

since Covid. Ive had 5 shots altogether. I here its spreading hear its again in Ohio.
I think the stress of Covid alone has left many people so burned out from it all.

(28,244 posts)It was hell warmed over and stigma caused by the unsympathetic non-acceptance of the malady made it worse.
I was lucky enough to attend a lecture by and meet the great (unfortunately now deceased) Dr. Paul Cheney from Charlotte, NC in the late '80's. He was one of the pioneer in getting the disease accepted by the CDC.

(20,544 posts)One poor soul I read about along the way described feeling like they were stuck/glued onto or embedded in their mattress and couldn't free themselves. It can be that bad, yes.
