I'm getting over a drug trial that did nasty things to my kidneys. I'm still too waterlogged to wear rings or sandals but it's reversing slowly and my energy level is improving somewhat.

I'm in the same boat, looking at this midden I jokingly call my home and thinking it might be time for the front end loader and dumpster or maybe even the crew from "Hoarding: Buried Alive."

If we hadn't gotten recycling wheelie bins a couple of months ago, this place might look like a hoarder house. I can manage to throw recycling into a bin but boxing, bagging and tying it up was beyond me for a while.

Immune disorder, like lupus? Those sure do leave a person down for a while. Feel even more better, soon.

I've called it "lupus lite" to explain it to other people. It won't kill me, just make me miserable!

Right now I'm on my first trial of prednisone. So far, so good, but now I'm waiting for the side effects to kick in and/or the good effects to wear off!

My ex had lupus. She works hard as hell but you can see the exhaustion in her face.

and some of the bad effects like the emotional roller coaster will decrease over time.

Sjogren's can and does kill, usually through pulmonary fibrosis or kidney disease. However, it rarely follows a rapid and fulminating course like the worst lupus sometimes can.
