This is not life or death but damn, since I have been going to the dentist

To put in temporary dentures so my gums could heal to make a better fit for the new denture. All of them have broken and I've had to get them replaced. What happens after 1 or 2 teeth fall out is I start biting my cheek and my tongue. And it fucking hurts to bite the same canker sores that I've bite before! I've been putting Ambesol and this stuff called Vince and both hurt like hell for a little while after I put it on.

Just asking if anyone has had this and what you did for it. Someone told me they used salt and it went away.

... and a teaspoon of salt. Mix well to disolve the salt and then swoosh. Do this 3 to 4 times per day. It will accelerate healing and help the pain subside.

Do not use the salt/gargle/swoosh for longer than a week. Prolonged use can adversely effect tooth enamel.

4. Would you be willing to ask your dentist about oil pulling?

My dentist recommends it but I think it might be controversial in some circles.

It's thought to help your mouth heal.

ask your dentist for a scrip for Kenalog in Orabase. It comes in a teeny tube, which should give you a clue on how much to use, a tiny dab will do you. I use it mostly at night since it tends to glue my mouth together, and the sore has usually gone a long way toward healing by the following night.

Anything lidocaine/xylocaine based is going to hurt like a bee sting but only for a nanosecond or so. Kenalog doesn't have any of that in it, so it doesn't directly treat any pain, but just having a semi solid cap of goo on top of a lesion makes it feel a bit better, at least for me.

The dose is about half the size of the head on a paper match. It's tiny.
