House members urges Sebelius to include people with HIV and viral hepatitis in Affordable Care Act

House members urges Sebelius to include people with HIV and viral hepatitis in the Affordable Care Act

On December 5th, 2011, Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA), sent a letter signed by over 50 of her colleagues in the House of Representatives to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, urging her to include comprehensive services for people living with HIV and/or viral hepatitis in the final list of Essential Health Benefits in the Affordable Care Act. The letter outlines the vital categories of screening, testing, care, and treatment services that these individuals will need to manage their health. Read the letter here and thank those who signed for showing leadership! ( http://www.projectinform.org/pdf/letter_Lee.pdf )
