I found out something else my psychiatrist and I have in common

Apparently,he was the head of psychiatry at the same facility that I worked as the head nurse of the MICU from 1989-1993. he was also active in ACT UP at the same time.We had a teary moment remembering all the young patients from that period. he was glad to hear I still worked with The Dallas Resource Project.

...He told me-"We felt like we accomplished something major in the 90's"

ACT UP made a huge difference. At the time I wasn't infected with HIV, but I proudly participated and suppoted such a fine group of people.
