This is definitely shaping up to be one of 'those' days for anxiety

Yes, #1 trigger is what's being reported on the news. This whole STOLEN confidential/top secret documents situation has me terrified about what we have yet to learn.

To top if off, I got a text from my brother letting me know that the front passenger side wheel of his car FLEW OFF!! Fortunately he was going slow and as soon as he felt a wobble, he pulled into a gas station lot, which is where the 'fly off' happened. It looks like someone tampered with the lug nuts. He lives in one of those so-so neighborhoods. LOTS of good neighbors but there's a house across the street where gunfire isn't unusual, and pretty much everyone KNOWS it's a drug house. For some reason, the police are just not very interested.

So I'm in a knot, this morning. I took both my 'PRN' anti anxiety medication AND blood pressure back up pill that I take when my bp reaches a certain level. I didn't even have to check it, this morning. I'll give it some time.

Anyway, my brother is ok, and that's the important thing. Coincidentally, this is my late sister's birthday. Who knows - maybe she intervened to get him into that parking lot before a disaster happened. He said in another minute, or two, he'd have been in the 55mph zone.

I guess it is a somewhat 'easy' fix but he will also need to get the fender repaired.

We are the last two of our immediate family and I am always afraid I will lose him, too.

i was forced to change a tire, something i have not done in forever, but do know how to do.
i didnt tighten the lugs down again after i set the car down. i drove it the next day, heading to madison from chi. as i pulled into the thankfully empty last toll booth before the border, my l fr tire went rolling on ahead of me as i ground to a halt. even in the moment i cracked up. it was just like a cartoon. the attendant nearly died.
the funniest part of it was that i was headed to madison w my dog, thinking i had an appt. when i called to tell them i was delayed, found out i had the wrong day.

He is stopping by later this week. We're going to make something tasty with the home made Marinara sauce I've cooked up.

I went outside and did some weeding and major trimming of the trumpet vine. Certainly worked off a bit of stress. Although I'll be taking another shower, today. Whew!

He isn't all that far from me. If I need him, he can generally be here in less than 15 minutes.
