I've been thinking about trying gummies to take the edge off bad anxiety days but wanted to know first if anyone has experience taking it along with standard meds? How did it work for you?

I take it to enable sleep, on those occasions when something keeps me from falling asleep.

Behavioral Therapies for Anxiety Disorders
It was demonstrated that phobias could be learned through paired association, and reinforced through avoidance and escape. Scientists hypothesized that what could be learned could potentially be un-learned using these same principles. A common type of behavioral therapy is called exposure and response prevention therapy. It was developed as a direct result of the classical and operant conditioning research. For some disorders, the two components (exposure and response prevention) are most effective when used together. For other disorders, they may be applied separately, or together.
Exposure simply means facing or confronting one's fears repeatedly until the fear subsides. This occurs because of habituation (explained below). Response prevention means refraining from engaging in typical avoidance or escape behaviors when faced with a feared situation. This is necessary so that these maladaptive behaviors are no longer reinforced (See also operant conditioning and avoidance learning.)
If you can find a Behavioral therapist, this could work on a more long term method.

(24,164 posts)She replaced her prescription meds with these and feels so much better. She gets the gummies from a dispensary, so these are the real deal. Some gummies you get in regular stores do nothing - I tried that and it 100% failed.
I have had a major stressful situation and am now on Cymbalta. This helps me a ton, helps with controlling my over active brain and helps with chronic pain from scoliosis. I had to increase the dose, so not feeling 100% as I'm still in the adapting phase, but expect I'll be fine in a week. I smoke a bowl of Hybrid in the afternoon and a bowl of Indica at night. I'm ok now, as long as there are no more major crises.
Hope you find something that helps you.
