(35,916 posts)poster has not posted any mental health issues, but seems to lurk. IMO that is wrong. Both posters were wrong.

(35,916 posts)of what they are going through, can be taken anywhere on the site? Because I saw it happen earlier this evening and I didn't agree with it. I feel that if there are things posted they should not be discussed beyong this group. Actually, both posters were in the wrong.

(35,916 posts)be the attraction to such a group. Again, I don't want to be snarky. If I didn't have cancer, I would not go to the cancer group. And I did, out of common courtesy the information would stay there.

(13,831 posts)Personally, minus one user, I don't care, but that's me. I doubt anyone is going to use my mental-health discussions against me.
It's a very niche forum

(35,916 posts)was glad. But I don't want to get involved with free for alls. Like I said I never answer those type of posts, felt sorry for his child.
XanaDUer2
(13,831 posts)As a frequent poster, I was allowed in. As for a personal thread being locked, it depends on the thread. If it's the thread I think it is, I've seen nasty personal attacks from that poster.
debm55
(35,916 posts)from the original post, and started to get mean on both sides. I don't want to take the chance that what I shared here will be used here. perhaps the original poster should have posted it here?

(51,308 posts)Many people post here and even more lurk.
Many people lurk to learn from others, to find out if they're alone, to hear cheering thoughts, to gather their courage to talk, or maybe to realize others feel bad sometimes too. Forcing to people to talk would be the complete opposite of what this forum is about.
The TOS of this forum is clear.

(13,831 posts)That's more appropriate for those types of posts.
I had to block certain people due to being flooded with inapproprate PMs. That's all I'm going to say on that matter.

The only history anyone can look up on DU is what that poster posted. And whatever a DUer chooses to put on their profile.
Always keep in mind anything put up on DU then can be referenced by a search or googled.
MHS was my safe space, and now it's becoming less so. That makes me angry.
