Went to visit LilBit today

She was totally different person then last week , when I was down, she was in activity center, moving around, hugged me , kissed me.
I asked nurse” , “is she eating, and interacting with staff?” She said “yes”

I just told the nurse “ remember how you fought me , when I brought her here?”

She said “ you were right, we understand her now”

I’m so relieved
Today , LilBit hugged me, kissed me and I knew we would get to this point.

KozandLilBit

I just did what I need to do

you can fight them if they try to move her too far away.

It sounds like she's in an intake facility, where they keep her while they find out where she belongs for a longer time.

which should be enough to keep her within an hour or so of you.

They'll give you static because she was "legally" an adult when you adopted her, at which point you say "oh come off it."

Dig in your heels I don't know where you are in Florida, but I do know there are facilities and halfway houses all over the place. I had to do a bit of heel digging when my parents got old there.

That was the selfish Koz. The one who wouldn't let LilBit out of his sight for his own sake.

Now I see the responsible Koz, relieved to see LilBit getting good care from people other than yourself.

I am so relieved for both of you!

Now, if only you can do for yourself what you did for her. There are many people out there who are eager to give a vet the helping hand you are entitled to. Find them, it shouldn't be too hard.
