No laughing matter

I used to really look forward to the weekly comics posted on DU. They made me chuckle, gave me insight, or provided a different view point. I feel kind of politically despondent now and I don't read the comics because I don't find any of it funny. Well, I lie; reading the "odor in the court" stories amuses me. Maybe looking at the comics again will lighten things up, maybe I need a break from the news, or maybe I should surrender to my baser instincts and just follow the fart story exclusively for some time. Anyone else laugh-challenged? Anyone else recovered?

It's hard to find truly funny comedy in the mainstream. And yes, there are exceptions. I really enjoyed watching 'Curb Your Enthusiasm`....but, alas, it just had its final episode.

Too many comedians have sacred cows. There's a lack of irreverence. Oh, that George Carlin were alive!
