I took a benzo. I'm going to be referred to an gi xray, since I'm still having abdominal pains. The Miralax didn't fix it. Its been going on 21 days. Its time, to move forward, but I'm worried.
Tomorrow commences the TMJ steps to supposedly fix it over months. I gag easily, and they'll be affixing a perma botton guard splint. So worried the cost will go over what was agreed on. This cost and hoping it'll actually be fixed, plus abdominal pain of unknown origin, has me in a tailspin. I know serious medical costs can destroy a persons life and savings.
I have original Medicare but cannot afford a supplement. This pain came out of nowhere.
I'm so scared. Thanks for reading.

(2,067 posts)get resolved for you my friend. Sending you love and hugs. I'm sorry about the pain...I know it can be maddening. I finally gave in and got opiates for my chronic pain.

(802 posts)These medical challenges are scary. Raging anxiety is a side effect to many medical issues, but doctors don't ask. Also, depression can follow certain major surgeries (mastectomy, organ transplants). So let your specialists and your medical team know that the anxiety is overwhelming. A few (dodo) doctors will be unresponsive. But good doctors can reassure you with more encouraging info on potential treatments and/or can refer you to a counselor and/or can treat the anxiety medically (I've received all these interventions). For one test, a nurse stayed and held my hand. Please take care. Ask for support. I am keeping positive thoughts for you.

(13,484 posts)I see a therapist and psychiatrist and take other meds. Its in my medical record I have extreme anxiety. I just worry its something serious. I at least have traditional Medicare. I couldn't imagine being uninsured. I had a free ACA policy with a huge deductible. At least this didn't happen before I had Medicare

(802 posts)The medical costs are scary. Sorry I missed that aspect. One of my adult children has a chronic illness and, when he has been between jobs, his insurance lapses and I feel frantic. Right now he is covered. I sure hope you can make ends meet.

(15,443 posts)Just wanted to send some good vibes and a hug. Dealing with some things of my own. Think I have burnout. Trying to learn about it and see what I can do to improve.
Im going to hope that your abdominal issues are the result of all of the stress that youve been under and nothing more serious. Stress can play some mean games with our bodies. I am hoping all things will calm for you as you move through this TMJ treatment.
All the best, my friend.
