I mean, I feel bad if someone doesn't reply back to what I say, I'll admit that much. And I feel much better after reading a book rather than playing videogames. Maybe there's a point to this.

(6,308 posts)My impression is that there's a pretty small core of people whose OPs get a lot of replies. I don't think it's "just us" whose posts drift into obscurity; there are just some people with followings (or anti-followings) whose stuff gets more responses.

(71,836 posts)i think many mentally ill people, especially those with depression, find safe places online, or get caught up in bullshit online that a healthy person just wouldn't spend the time on.
i know that is how it has flowed in my life. it has been a truly golden place to be connected when i feel the most alone. it has also sucked me into conflicts when i am at my most contentious.
it's a symptom.
