I'm causing trouble over in GD again.

Some guy on the Hot Topics forum of Gardenweb pissed me off by saying that anyone with a bipolar or similar psychiatric diagnosis is automatically put on the prohibited persons list for the instant background check to buy a gun. Like three times. Even after I cited the section of USC to him through a direct link to a 200 plus page ATF document about federal gun laws and the instant background check and then told him which pages to read.

Not sure why it pisses me off SO much -- the fact that people assume that a mental health diagnosis automatically makes me stupid, or the fact that they are so quick to assume facts not in evidence. Either way, probably unwisely, I started trouble on GD.

Why, oh why, can't I just behave myself?

I usually don't participate in threads where I expect strong disagreement, cause I don't like confrontation, but there are times . . .

Like, really pissed at those who will do ANYTHING to dump on President Obama, expecting/planning that he will 'cave.' I usually just sit here and boil. Talk about assuming facts not in evidence!

And I'm so flipped out about the perceived slight against my character that I will defend a ridiculous position. Like I did in that thread.

Why is it never simple?

Makes it hard to put up with stupidity from others.

The problem, though, is that you can't have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.

Misbehaving gets results? Being quiet and saying nothing incase
you piss people off wont get things done.

Thats my opinion anyway
