I went to Google to see what I could find. If I were more capable I'd give you a conclusion about what I just read. It was interesting but I'm not sure I understand all of the brain stimulation up and down. Let me know what you get out of the article and I'll talk about it with you.

I think the door has been opened to new mental health treatments. I'm on some experimental drug (along with 3 others). I think it's a good thing, other than the cost. The experimental drug isn't covered by insurance.

I've never read/heard anything about ultrasound. If your Care provider likes it, then I say go for it. At least it isn't chemically altering your brain.

It's a form of deep brain stimulation from reading a bit of that. Deep brain stimulation for depression and other emotional issues has been studied and I believe there good evidence it works in many. You might want to look that up. I'm afraid I know nothing about this specific form of it though.

I think I will go for it as soon as my Doc about the head injury I got ( thanks to a guy on a cell phone while driving! ) clears me, he says I should be go in Feb.

They're even doing a study in South Carolina.

Please let me know what you find out as I'm a fellow PTSD sufferer (along w/ several other diagnosis) in Texas and with f'ing Perry not taking the Medicaid $$$ here I'm in dire straits as I'm indigent, awaiting a disability determination and care is still completely piecemeal. Have I said today how much I HATE THIS FUCKING STATE?!!!?

But as I was told, this is experimental. it is going to take at lest 9 more years for it to, hopefully, approved by the FDA.
