MENTAL HEALTH ACTING CHALLENGE
I'm hoping to raise some money for three organizations... and awareness. I mean, everyone knows someone affected by mental illness, but how many of those folks have ever heard of organizations that advocate for the mentally ill? Can they name a single one? Well, friends, let's change that

not among those who are tired of ice buckets. there are more and more great ones coming out.
but this sounds equally fun. and important.
thresholds is very active in my community. we have a great deal of supportive housing of all sorts here. too much for a lot of people. 
imma think about this.

Percentages don't tell a compelling story. Try this: nearly 44 million Americans over age 18 are diagnosed with a serious mental illness as of 2012. To put that in perspective, the population of England is 53 million. Of course, that's only diagnosed cases. The actual number of individuals with a serious mental illness is much greater.
