money stress, work stress and the sometimes crushing sadness over the loss of my fat cat. today is an especially bad day on that last point.
i'm not eating well and sleeping too much and really don't feel like being home without her. this, of course, leads to guilt about feeling like i'm ignoring the other cat. the husband has been hunkered down in the lab for the last couple of weeks and i'm really short in the in-town friends department, so i'm feeling pretty isolated, too.
the upside is that spring is pretty well here. mid-70s today and i'm going to make myself take a walk later.
just gotta keep on pushing.

(152,099 posts)I did that last Sunday when I just HAD to get out of the house. I got some nice pictures and I felt better.

(24,146 posts)nice breeze picked up and i walked a bit and sat by a pond, then walked a bit more and sat by another pond. i was hoping to get a good sunset, but tonight wasn't my night. think i got some good photos, though.
i feel a bit better. it was nice to feel the breeze and listen to the birds. even saw a great blue heron.

(19,182 posts)I second Peggy's suggestion. Go out with a big glass of ice water and soak up some sun and air. I hope things improve for you.

(24,146 posts)just kind of strolled along and enjoyed the sun and the breeze and the birds.
i've lost pets before, but this is the first one who was mine rather than a family pet and it's so hard this time around. thanks for the good wishes.

(24,146 posts)the sun and breeze felt amazing and it was so lovely to sit and listen to the birds. i'm sad again now that i'm home, but it was a nice break.

(24,146 posts)this week was pretty horrible at work and i'm so glad i didn't have to work today. i wanted the OT, but it's probably better for me that the boss said no.
i have a few adult things i have to do this weekend, but i'm going to spend most of it doing what i want to do. the weather is supposed to be glorious and the husband is going to take a walk with me if i have to drag him.
thanks for checking in
