Hope for Liberation

I've come to understand, lately, that almost everyone on the planet is delusional to some extent. The difference between what we call sane people and insane people in our society is just a matter of degree in a lot of cases. Most people who are considered sane here are just better at playing ego games. If you don't play the games very well, they lock you away in a prison or a mental institution and/or give you some socially acceptable drugs to atune your consciousness with the dominant state of being in our culture.

However, I'm coming to find that there is hope for liberation from mental illness anyway. Maybe not so much from the prison of our culture, but there is a way of seeing the world beyond the games and stupid rules. And it doesn't involve becoming a mountain man. 😏

I'll have much more to say about this in about a month...maybe two. Until then see if you can get your hands on a copy of the latest work by Alan Watts (published posthumously, of course) called Out of Your Mind. I highly recommend it.
