(38,891 posts)where women were told that if we don't vote for an anti-choice candidate with a D behind their name, then we are voting anti-choice. You see, we must win the House back, at any cost, even if it means accepting more & more anti-choice candidates into the party, because you know, winning!

I was too stunned to reply in that thread. Is this what it has come to? We dump things the Dems have always stood for to appeal to some mythical voter who might vote for us if we throw some of our staunchest existing voters under the bus? You know what, I DON'T WANT those fuckers' votes. I want them to go vote Republican. (Psst: that's what they are going to do anyway, you idiots!)
You know what else? The stealth Republicans have infiltrated every other corner of America, so why shouldn't we suspect they have also also infiltrated the Dem Party? I can't believe some of this dangerous nonsense.
You know what I really want? I want this damn country to split in half so I can go live in the sane part. That's what I want.

In another thread, when I posted that maybe the dems should do some hard work & go after the bigger voter pool - the non-voters, instead of capitulating on women's rights to get some swing voters - who dislike us for more than just our stance on abortion, btw, I was told by another DUer that going after non-voters was folly. So now GOTV is folly, but capitulating on women's right's is okay.
