Anti-choice is woman-hating. Each and every anti-choice argument has, at its heart, a profound
hatred for women.
each and every anti-choice argument, whether based on religion, men's rights, fetal rights, etc., says that some THING, or some ONE, whether religious beliefs, the state, the male, the z/e/f, is more important than the woman.
it really is that simple.

(12,406 posts)Just think about it. Would American men ever stand for the same level of government interference into their health and reproductive choices? Too many Americans prefer to infantilize women. This is why in 2019, American women don't have equal protection under the law and over the course of decades, the ERA has not been passed by enough states to become law.

(22,928 posts)even if the person who is anti-choice doesn't realize it or tries to make some sort of religious 'excuse'...
it really is woman-hating and/or oppression
there is no excuse for not allowing a woman to have control of her own life/body

That said, you seem very angry right now, and I'm really not interested in arguing.
The anti argument does not hold up when the same people don't think about caring for the unwanted children we already have in over-burdened, underfunded foster care programs, scattered or nonexistent healthcare for children, attempts to save children in the juvenile court and detention system.
Their high and mighty positions fall apart in the face of reality for children born into situations where they don't have the security and financial support it takes to raise a healthy child. They fantasize about the many adoptions that would be available but they think so little of the woman they don't realize she has the same response to a newborn - deep love and connection while she is awash in hormones that assure that.
It is all about bad girls having to pay for their sins. That's it - post-born - they could care less.
