Important Message from Republicans for Planned Parenthood

Email I got today from Planned Parenthood below. One wouldn't think there were Repubs here, but as following asks, pass it on to Repub friends.

••

Dear Supporter,

We are Republicans who support Planned Parenthood. We know that anyone -- regardless of their political affiliation -- can support women's health, but today we need help from other Republicans, a critical voice in the fight to protect access to health care services. If you are a Republican who supports Planned Parenthood or know someone who is, please join us in sharing an important message with Pennsylvania lawmakers. http://www.ppaction.org/site/R?i=aSJwTDCL4BGkXy73LDCRbQ
We're sure you have seen the attacks on Planned Parenthood from the far-right, and we're sure that, like us, you are sick and tired of these dangerous distractions that don't speak to how we, as Republicans, feel.

We write today because as you read this, an attempt is underway by fringe politicians in Harrisburg to defund Planned Parenthood's preventive health care services in the state budget -- birth control, cancer screenings, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, even general health screenings like a blood pressure check. These are services that reduce unintended pregnancy, save the state money, and save lives. We need to let our lawmakers know that removing funding for these critical services is not what we believe in.

We ask you to join with us in signing a letter to Republican leaders in Harrisburg to tell them not to cave in to these fringe attacks from those trying to force our party to the far right. http://www.ppaction.org/site/R?i=Z_vd_69XBcBoumBgd2E3Ug
Supporting Planned Parenthood's preventive services ensures good health outcomes and saves taxpayer dollars. Denying women and men access to such services at Planned Parenthood is simply foolish and irresponsible. Thank you for joining us in sharing this critical message.

Yours in the fight,
Alison Ballantine

P.S. If you're not a Republican, don't worry--there will be opportunities for you to contribute in the coming weeks. For now, you can help out by forwarding this message to your Republican friends!

2. Will be dying soon? Antis have long ignored the fact that pregnancy is more hazardous than abortion.

And they refuse to admit abortion is a women's health issue at all. Thousands (millions?) of women around the world have already died because of misplaced concern for the 'baby' and none at all for the woman and her health or quality of life.

3. I know, but the average American would be unable to admit Women die of this now.
