I recall there was a lot of discussion of e-cigs before we switched to D3

Does anyone know how to access that discussion ... or can anyone summarize that discussion? After 50 years of smoking and failing dozens of attempts to quit, I'm thinking of trying e-cigs. But I need some advice before I shell out $60+ for a kit. I've tried the Hayze-e's e-cig. While it gives a nicotine buzz (which I don't necessarily enjoy) there is very little to inhale. That seems to be what I find satisfying, the inhaling. I can get the buzz from nicotine gum, for Christ's sake but that doesn't do it for me.

How do I know the nicotine oil used by e-cigs is less harmful than regular cigarettes? Was there any consensus on the most reliable e-cig kit?

Any info would be helpful.
