3 years ago today...I gave up food that I was addicted to for many years...

No ice cream, cookies, donuts of any kind, brownies, chocolate, candy, sherbet, cake, pies and deserts like cheese cake. It has helped my to stay normal weight Hard to watch others eat...but not as hard as early on...Used the OA program to help do it..

That's good because sugar increases the appetite by inhibiting the "full" signal in our brains.

If you eat fruit, you can make an "ice cream" by putting frozen bananas in a food processor and then adding a little lemon juice. Let it run until smooth and creamy. It's really good.

Yes, some of the cereals I eat have refined sugar..and so do the crackers..but the usual suspects are all gone. I have had some days when I have overeaten, but it just is not the same. I am at a maintenance weight, and the amount of ice cream I used to consume at one sitting was ...well amazing...and it is gone. And I am drinking more water than ever, and water improves the mood. Please...just tap water...not that special stuff for 25 cents a bottle.

You're proof that it can be done.
