Met-Rx meal replacements?

About 20 years ago I lost about 50 pounds by using Met-Rx once a day as a meal replacement.
(It's a flavored powder which you make into a shake)
I liked it because it uses Sucralose as a sweetener instead of the sugar alcohols, which give me intestinal grief.

I'm thinking of trying it again.
Does anyone here use it, or tried it lately?

I see the prices online are now $32 and up for a box of 18 envelopes, plus shipping.
It isn't available near me.

Any suggestions on who/where I can find it cheaper, as I am now retired on social Security.
Thanks

Meat, fruit, veggies, as much as you want. Nothing else, no grains or white sugar. Limited dairy.

Those drinks are like vitamin pills, your body can't absorb most of the 'nutrients' in them.

I changed to this diet a month ago when i got diagnosed with hashimotos thyronditis, and the doc told me i had to go gluten free. Too exhausting to try and figure out "can i eat that?" for every meal, so i went back to basics and my clothes are already fitting better in just three weeks.

I have absorption issues. Bad issues. I suffer from malnutrition even although I eat (all the right things) all the time. I am protein deficient. At least twice a year I end up on IV nutritional feeding for 2-4 months at a time.
I try to eat as 'purely' as possible.
It's not always easy.

Protein shakes help a bit but I have to consume copious amounts to get a little benefit from it. My Drs would rather I get my protein from 'real' food. Food I have to prepare and eat, not just drink.
Having said that I do recomment Naked Whey Protein Powder.
NAKED WHEY - #1 Undenatured 100% Grass Fed Whey Protein Powder from California Farms -GMO-Free, Gluten Free, Soy Free, Preservative Free
You can't beat it for purity.

In regards absorption issues, for around a year I've been taking a mix of soil based probiotics by Prescript Assist. I like it, but some find it too overpowering, while others swear by it.

Not cheap, but it might be worth contacting the manufacturer for a sample. I'd read the reviews at places like Amazon. A few people seem to have had strong reactions.
