Weight Loss/Maintenance
Related: About this forumI think I have a case of Schroedinger's Body.
I've lost a fair amount of weight - almost 40 lbs. - since January; I've been eating better than I ever have because I can't buy fast food or eat out, and I walk four miles a day so I'm getting in shape. It's probably because it's the only thing I have any control over any more, but I look and feel better than I have in years. The problem is that nobody sees me; so because I can't be observed, I'm simultaneously fat and not fat.

(120,110 posts)I won't be gorgeous since I never was, but I won't be fat - so that's something. It's like asking the doctor, "Will I be able to play the violin after my broken arm heals," and when the doctor says of course, you say "Great, because I never could before."
Here's to living long enough to show off!

(9,186 posts)Fat is neither gained nor lost: it is just transferred from one body to another. Pick a worthy recipient for your fat transfer and focus on that observation. I suggest Donald is worthy.
