Weight Loss/Maintenance
Related: About this forumGot rid of the COVID 15 and now down to
a BMI of 24. Lost 27 pounds in 3 or 4 months.
I couldn't get my hunger under control until I broke down and went Keto. That did get it under control and now eating a better diet. No more bacon, I wasn't a pork eater, and sugar, along with wheat products. Didn't have to give up potatoes as I didn't eat them before.
Eating less protein, I'm now drinking 2 Protein drinks/day. Yum, chocolate and peanut butter flavor. Few calories and very low carb with lots of fiber. Now more of a calorie counter. Also back to fish and chicken and more veggies.
Still jog 3 or 4 times a week. Just longer distance and faster than before.

I think you have to find out what works for you.
That one donut a day and sugar in my coffee were the only really hard ones. But, as I like to say. Eat to live, don't live to eat.

(14,261 posts)Although I'm doing South Beach, which let's you have a few whole grain, non processed carbs. I'm down 40 lbs. and feel great! My doctor is ecstatic about my blood work, too! I would love to lose 60 more, but not going to put too much pressure on myself.
I have found that I truly don't miss potatoes, bread or pasta anymore. They taste really bland now.
I also started drinking a lot more water (up to 100 oz. a day) and I drink coffee only in the morning. Haven't had soda in a long time.
Congrats on your weight loss!
