Just rejoined WW (Weight Watchers) today

I lost 120 pounds on it when I was 20. I later worked for them. But now, because of my age and other reasons, I needed a different approach so I'm trying this again.

Anyone on the program now want to discuss it?

My wife is a lifetime member. She always goes back to it when she gains a few pounds and gets it under control in a couple weeks.

I started last week; I need to lose about 35lbs. That first week I lost about 4lbs.

Their new program is very easy to follow, I like it a lot. That concept of zero points food makes it easy to prepare meals.

I do not feel hungry at all. One thing I found is that tryng to drink a lot of water helps a lot, it cuts your appetite and helps promote weight loss.

I recommend you get the app for your cellphone. It's wonderful. They have for example this incredible feature for finding recipes. You select a few ingredients you have in your fridge or cupboard, and they list recipes you can try.

And yeah, it's very helpful. I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. I have about 40 pounds to lose. And I'm active, so that'll certainly help.

and, if you take notice, it is really just a low-carb way of life. Learn to count carbs and determine the proper amount for you to maintain the correct weight and VOILA.

I am so excited for you. You are amongst friends on a journey to wellness overall.

I came back as a Returning Lifetime member in June of 2013. It took me 13 months to lose 53 pounds. Reached goal for the final time in July of 2014. Since then, I am currently 10 pounds under after 6 long road trips and 2 International trips. WW is a lifestyle program that teaches you so much. The in-person studio meetings are so worth it because there you meet others on this journey and learn how to do this.

There have been several changes since then, all for the good. The program now, via the WW app, is so doable. I take the WW lifestyle with me when I travel. Since November when the changes came about and I was on a 2 month vacation, I ended up losing almost 3 pounds. I am very active as well. Walk 25 miles a week and head to the gym 4 to 5 days a week to walk and work out with the local body builders. I will also be turning 70 at the end of May.

Hang in there. There will be weeks where the scale may not budge. Your WW Leader is the one best to guide you, teach you, and a lot more. The App is there to help you as well with recipes, scanning foods to get point values, coaching, exercise, and more. There are programs out there, but Weight Watchers is the best. And be sure NOT to beat yourself up.

and the program, back then, worked wonders for me. I lost my extra 30 pounds easily and in pretty good time. I managed myself to keep it all off until a few years ago when my diet was all messed up with gastroparesis. I used it for a bit after that miraculously went away to take off 30 pounds again. I have no idea what the program is like now, I am a vegetarian in good weight and don't really need it but when I did it was absolutely the best thing I ever did.

It gives you back extra daily points for eating non-starchy vegetables. Which is pretty easy for me.

.. I'm feeling pretty positive about continuing. When I was on it before, the fact things were zero points helped sidetrack me. I get it now. Nothing is unlimited because it's zero points. Another thing I used to tell my classes and that I assume is still true is that one point and one point don't always equal two points. So I have to watch that too.

But so far so good. Looking forward to weigh-in day later in the week.

full time caretaker for my disabled husband in addition to working full time. So I don't have a lot of time to plan and count and things like that. Do you think WW could help me? I have INTENSE carb cravings that really do me in. I was always rewarded with food as a kid and it's a lifetime bad habit that I go to for comfort. Had a doctor appointment today and my weight is causing high blood pressure in addition to putting stress on my hip replacement. I know what a healthy diet is, but my emotions tend to cancel out my logical mind.

... if you stick to your zero point foods. But they've always said journaling is beneficial. What you might want to do is go online and ask them before you join and describe your situation. I really can't give you a good answer because I haven't been on this new program that long. Good luck though.

I joined on May 1 and have lost 14.8 lbs so far. That's a reasonable pace considering I am sixty. I decided to combine it with intermittent fasting to avoid a drop in my metabolic rate.

I got very lazy and picked up 10 -12 pounds in the pas year. The interesting thing is that once I went back to a meeting, I got religious again about monitoring my food and portion sizes.

How are you doing now? My original WW was back in 2006-2007 and I lost 60 pounds. Kept it off for 8 years then got lazy and it crept back up on me - all of a sudden I was 20 pounds over goal. So I went back in 2015 and lost that 20 pounds in time for my daughter's wedding.

The amazing number of zero point foods is astonishing and so easy to keep track of mentally. I'm going out tonight and I have rolled over enough points to enjoy the meal within reason of course without blowing everything.
